7 March 2024, Singapore — Real estate private equity firm Gaw Capital Partners and award-winning Singaporean data center heat removal solution provider KoolLogix signed an MOU today to collaborate on integrating KoolLogix technology into Gaw Capital’s multi-tenanted data center in Nongsa, Batam. KoolLogix will support specific customer requirements for high density rack deployment. The under-construction data center in Batam is expected to ready for service (RFS) in Q4 2024. A section of the data hall has been allocated for the installation of the KoolLogix system to accommodate the high-density rack requests.
The agreement was signed by Kok Chye Ong, Head of IDC Platform, Asia (ex-China) for GAW Capital, and Chun Keat Cheong, CEO and Co-founder of KoolLogix, in a ceremony at Gaw Capital Partners’ office in Singapore.
Kok Chye Ong, Head of IDC Platform, Asia (ex-China) for GAW Capital, said, “As a multi-tenanted data center in the colocation industry, we have to accommodate our clients’ diverse needs. By implementing the KoolLogix system in a portion of our data center, we are able to meet high specification client demands while also supplying the data center with additional cooling.”
Chun Keat Cheong, CEO of KoolLogix, expressed his enthusiasm for deepening partnerships to meet Gaw’s clients’ needs: “We are optimistic about the potential for numerous opportunities to deploy KoolLogix technology across regional data centers. We can expect a significant reduction in energy usage for cooling data centers after installing the KoolLogix system, paving the way for data centers to not only meet but exceed their sustainability objectives.”

All in all, “People’s Place” stands for a place rich in sentiments and compassion, bringing strangers together in constructing a vibrant, cozy living environment. People’s Place aspires to transform obsolete commercial facilities into vibrant community hubs by creatively utilizing its space and bringing brand new experiences to residents, tenants and community stakeholders.
